Make any container into a pasteurization tub with this easy kit! You only need to buy the full kit once to get everything you need to make your pasteurization tub except the drill and your container! We recommend using insulated containers for the best results, Coolers are often a common choice for maximum heat retention. You can also use heavy duty plastic totes, plastic trash cans, etc.
- The Full Kit options come with 1 Hose Connector, 1 Washer, 1 Hex Nut, 1 Hole Drill Bit, and 1 Thread Tap (none of these kits come with the wagner wallpaper steamer. That is available for purchase in the parts listing) - https://wumbogenetics.com/products/*Parts*-Pasteur...
- The Double Steamer Kit comes with an extra Hose Connector, Washer, and Hex Nut to allow 2 hookups to the same container as containers larger than 30 gallons should receive steam from 2 wagner wallpaper steamers.
- The Drain Kit comes with 1 Drain, 1 Hose Connector, 1 Washer, 1 Hex nut
!!!!The container should be made to not hold pressure! if your container has a lid that fits really tight, try making a small hole near the top of the container to vent excess steam buildup!!!!
"Why should I steam my substrates?"
Well steam is really efficient at retaining and transferring heat so it has a great efficiency with heating your substrate to the desired temperature for pasteurization without lowering the moisture content of it. This makes for an easier / more hands off time achieving perfect pasteurization and is much more consistent than bucket tek or pillow tek.
We recommend you monitor the temperatures within 1 or 2 bags of substrate in the tub while steaming. A meat thermometer with a digital wireless readout can really help a lot to make monitoring easy.
This kit is made specifically to work with wagner wallpaper steamers as the steamer hoses have 1/4"FNPT fittings on both sides. Any steam generator can work for this conversion kit, but will need a 1/4"FNPT fitting on one end to connect to the provided fittings.
